Hi! 

My name is Kylie,

I have opened a licensed childcare home! I've been caring for young children since I was 12, from babysitting to working in two licensed childcare facilities. I have experience from infants to school age. I am also a mom to two young children!

I have a bachelor's degree in Family, Community and Social Support. I have taken multiple childhood development and education classes while studying at the University of Iowa. I am certified in CPR and First Aid and have taken all mandatory classes for the state of Iowa to be a licensed child development home and have completed training on the Iowa Early Learning Standards. I love exploring and learning more about early development curriculum and finding new things to try with my own children. I look forward to continuing education and training to keep growing my knowledge!

My program is based on learning through play and experiences, while also maintaining structure throughout the day to help children feel secure within their environment. I offer a center-based quality curriculum while having an in-home childcare advantage of flexibility and more one on one time.  My program includes age-appropriate activities to help promote development in cognitive, social/emotional, fine and gross motor, and speech/language skills. Children will also have dedicated time to learning letters/pre-reading skills, math, science, art and everyday functional skills.
